How do I book a session with you?
Great, let's make this happen! Simply email me or contact me via my website and we will set up all the details and nail down our session date via email. Or, leave your phone number if you would prefer and I would be happy to call you to chat!
Where will my session take place?
We will choose a location that is meaningful, convenient and a good fit. Often, sessions take place on location at your home where children are comfortable and at ease. Parks, fields and urban spots are also frequent locations for my sessions. It is important to me that our location reflects you!
What props and supplies do you bring to each shoot?
I love to capture your family in a natural and journalistic way, so I will not bring many props. I travel light so that we can explore and play unencumbered by additional items. I may bring a stool or blanket for outdoor family sessions and typically have a bag with a few essentials for positive reinforcements for kids (namely, candy!) For newborn sessions I bring a bean bag, blankets and a few accessories to use during our session such as custom made headbands, hats and bonnets.
What is a Fresh 48 session?
A Fresh 48 session is a journalistic approach to documenting your new baby. These lifestyle sessions focus on the family connection and tiny details of your newborn within the first two days of your baby’s life. I come to the hospital or birth center and spend 30-45 minutes documenting your family sometime within 24-48 hours after the birth. This is a great way to capture those special first moments together and siblings getting to know each other. The cost for a Fresh 48 session is $250 and includes 15-20 digital images in color and in black and white.
How long will it take to receive my photos?
I know! You are so excited to see your photos! I will try to post a sneak peek of our session the following day or two to make the wait easier. Sessions will be carefully and personally edited and uploaded to an online gallery within 2 weeks. Online galleries will be available for 10 days for you to view, order and upload your high resolution digital images.
How many images will be in my gallery?
Your online gallery for newborn, family and senior sessions will usually include around 40-60 images, carefully processed and fully edited in both color as well as black and white. Fresh 48 sessions and Headshot sessions will usually include 10-15 edited photos in color and in black and white.
Do I have printing rights?
Yes! When you purchase a digital package from me you will receive printing rights for your personal purposes at a professional lab. It is highly recommended that you print images from a quality lab such as mpix.com so as to not compromise the beauty of your images! Mpix.com is an easy online lab that does a great job with paper, color and coating quality. Other labs, such as local labs or the one hour processing labs do not have the same color or paper quality as a professional lab.
